Chalice presented to SSS by Amiee Downes on 6 July 2007
Amiee Downes explains the history of this chalice:
The history of this chalice has a few connections to the First
Unitarian Church of Toledo (www.uutoledo.org). An architect
and member of this church who does wood turning in his spare time made the chalice. His name is Allan Brown. The wood came from a cherry tree that had been growing in Louise Bankey's yard but unfortunately fell down. Louise has been a long-time member of the same church. Growing up, I also attended this church, and in fact, my parents were married there, long before they started attending UU worship services.
